Fitchen-Young ascended to the No. 4 male competitor in the 1,600 in meet history. Fitchen-Young also anchored the distance medley relay for Santa Cruz with a 4:18 split, including a 59-second final lap, to achieve a fourth-place finish in 10:37.13.
